Simply Functional: MUJI Interior design Trend
The design style adopts a light wood-colored Japanese Muji interior design style. This interior design project is located in Sham Shui Po, with a unit area of only about 260 square feet. Since this is the client’s first home purchase, the budget is limited, so the design focuses on practicality. The client mentioned that they rarely cook and have few belongings, so they can accept an open space design. In the open kitchen, a completely white color scheme is used, and a dining table replaces the traditional kitchen island, saving space and being practical.
The TV wall and the exterior walls of the bathroom use wood veneer cladding and hidden door designs, without any handles or door frames, making the overall space more tidy. Inside the bathroom, the walls and floor use the same light beige tiles, which not only enhance the sense of space but also bring visual unity and comfort.
This design not only meets the client’s needs but also makes full use of the limited space, creating a comfortable, minimalist, and functional living environment. Such a Muji-style design is very suitable for small apartments in Hong Kong.
